Six Camps of 52 Division Shifted from Civilians’ Lands
51 Division Donates Blood Marking its 18th Anniversary

The 51 Division of Kopay celebrated its 18th anniversary on 24th of August 2013 giving prominence to religious performances. With guidance of General Officer Commanding 51 Division Brigadier Chula Abeynayake, blessings were obtained from Buddhist, Hindu, Catholic and Islam beliefs in religious functions held respectively at 51 Division Headquarters Bo Maluwa¸ Marathanamadam Hanuman temple, Atchuvely St. Mary’s church, and Jaffna Jumma mosque with attendance of all ranks.

In addition, the Division Headquarters organized a blood donation campaign on 23rd of August at its premises where 163 officers and other ranks donated blood to Teaching Hospital Jaffna.

Dr. Pratheepan of Jaffna hospital and his staff assisted the Army in the blood donation campaign.
