523 Brigade Organizes Christmas Carols in Chawakachcheri

Troops of 4 Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (4 VIR) and 12 Battalion Gemunu Watch (12 GW) of the 523 Brigade under the 52 Division organized Christmas Carols in the "Proud of Indian" Church at Chawakachcheri on 23th December 2017.

Brigadier Tikiri Dissanayake, Commander 523 Brigade graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Carols were conducted in Tamil, English and Sinhala languages, sung by choirs of Army soldiers and civilians in the area of Chawakachcheri. They performed both traditional and modern Carols as well as much loved Christmas songs.

Religious dignitaries, well-wishers, Senior Officers, soldiers and a large number of civilians were present at the event.

At the conclusion of the Carols, choirs of School Students were presented with gifts from the Chief Guest and little children were presented with gifts by Santa Claus
.
