In collaboration with Coconut Research Institute the Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna launched an initiative to participate in an experiment related to coconut cultivation in Northern Province. Accordingly, a brief ceremony was organized to plant 358 coconut seedlings covering 6 acres of land in Army Farm , Palaly on 28 November 2019 with the presence of Commander Security Forces - Jaffna , Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya.

Senior Officers of Security Forces - Jaffna , officials of Coconut Research Institute and Troops were present during the programme.
